About & Contact

Born in Kampala, Uganda, I am a reporter, writer, editor and communications strategist.
I have worked primarily with Ugandan media, covering public affairs and politics in the Great Lakes region of Africa. My articles have appeared in online and mainstream newspapers, magazines, and agencies, including New Vision, Women’s eNews, Inter Press Service, The Times, The Scotsman, and The Independent.
I have also won awards and recognitions, including the Africa Media Initiative award for health reporting and the David Astor Journalism Award.
I hold a Master of Arts in Media and Public Relations from the University of Leicester, UK, and a Bachelor of Mass Communication from Makerere University, Uganda.
Currently, I work in Mogadishu for a consultancy providing strategic communications services to the African Union peace support operations in Somalia. In my work, I use my communications expertise to support ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in Somalia and counter violent extremism.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, reading books on politics, cricket, exploring the countryside, graphic design, and jogging. You can reach me at [email protected].
